To Remove Glass Bowl from Stand Mixer

  1. Be sure speed control is OFF and Stand Mixer is unplugged.
  2. Place bowl-lift lever in down position.
  3. Remove flat beater, wire whip, or dough hook.
  4. Grasp the bowl handle and lift straight up and off locating pins.

Before using

  • Your Stand Mixer is individually adjusted at the factory for optimal performance.
  • When using the Glass Bowl, it may be necessary to readjust the beater-to-bowl clearance.
  • When correctly positioned, the handle and pour spout should not touch the pedestal of the Stand Mixer.
  • Please refer to the Stand Mixer “Instructions” for complete information on adjusting the beater-to-bowl clearance, or view the video.

Note:  The "Dime Test" works for stainless bowls only, not glass or ceramic. Due to the nature of glass manufacturing the clearance will be slightly different, and adjustments should be made without the dime, until satisfied with mixing performance. It may take slightly longer for yeast dough ingredients to come together in a glass bowl.

Tips for use

  • This is not recommended for microwave oven use.
  • To avoid product damage, do not use the Glass Bowl in areas of high heat such as an oven or on a stovetop.
  • The Glass Bowl can only be used with F-series attachments (see “Accessories”).  The "F" is embossed on each beater.

Care and cleaning

The Glass Bowl may be washed in an automatic dishwasher; or, clean thoroughly in hot sudsy water and rinse completely before drying.
