Tips for High Altitude Baking

  • If you live in a high altitude (3,000 feet above sea level or above), cakes may tend to fall and give unpredictable results.
  • Adjustments may be made in liquids, baking powder and sugar. Since each recipe is different one may need to experiment.
  • Leavening agents such as baking powder, baking soda, and yeast expand more readily at high altitudes.
