Ensure the ice is not stuck on the cutting grid.

Troubleshooting Tips

Ice can get stuck on the cutting grid for a couple of different reasons. If there is ice stuck between the evaporator plate and the cutting grid, try the following:

  • Ensure the Ice Maker is leveled properly. This will allow the ice to slide off the evaporator plate properly.  Learn how to use your phone to level household appliances.
  • Verify that the grid harness is securely plugged in.
  • Run a clean cycle.  Mineral build-up could be causing the ice to get stuck. You will need to use one 16-ounce (473 mL) bottle of approved ice maker cleaner. We recommend using the affresh® Ice Machine Cleaner part number W11179302.
