How to Use the Remote Control Feature on Your KitchenAid Appliance
The Remote Control feature allows you to start your KitchenAid appliance from your smartphone or mobile device. Your appliance will not start via the mobile app unless the remote control feature has been enabled on your appliance. However, you can send a cycle to the machine without enabling remote feature, but someone will have to press start on the machine. Use the following steps to remote enable your appliance:
To Enable Remote Control
- For appliances equipped with an LCD screen select the tools/settings icon
- Select "Remote Enable" NOTE: Remote enable will stay active for 24 hours as long as no changes have happened to the appliance. (ie, door opened, or buttons pressed)
NOTE: Directions for enabling the remote control feature may differ by model number. For specific instructions for remote enabling your model number, please see the Owner's Manual, some appliances have a remote enable button located on the console.
