Cleaning or Replacing the Filters in a Vent Hood

How to Clean or Replace the Filters in a KitchenAid Vent Hood

Cleaning Removable Grease Filter:

IMPORTANT: Before cleaning, ensure all controls are off and the vent hood is cool. Always follow label instructions on cleaning products.

  1. Turn off the vent hood before removing the filter.
  2. Clean the filter in the sink, with warm water and detergent, or in the dishwasher.
  3. Replace the filter.

Non-Vented (recirculating) Filter:

The charcoal filter is not washable. It should last up to 6 months with normal use. Replace with Charcoal Filter as specified in the Owner's Manual.
