Fan Noise - Induction Cooktop

Possible Solutions

Fan noise:

  • The internal electronics require a controlled temperature in order to function reliably. The cooktop is fitted with a fan which runs at various speeds according to the temperature detected during cooktop and/or oven operation.
  • The fan may also continue to run even after the cooktop and/or oven has been switched off, if the temperature it detects is too high. In some cases the fan may run for an extended period of time. This is part of normal operation.

Is the cooktop properly ventilated?

The cooktop needs to have proper ventilation for optimal performance.  Poor ventilation can cause:

  • Cooktop overheating and shutting down
  • Longer heating and/or boiling times

Reference the Installation Instructions for specific venting information.
