Takes less or more time than previous oven - Electric Ranges

Possible Solutions

Did you allow the oven to preheat?  Did you place food in the oven before the preheat cycle was complete?

Preheating is necessary for good results.  For optimal performance, place food in the oven as soon after the signal as possible.

Did you open the oven door during preheat?

Do not open the door to insert food until preheat tone sounds.

Did you set the control for BAKE and desired temperature?

Refer to the Use & Care manual for control operation instructions.

Is the oven door being opened frequently to check baking/cooking results?

Always use the oven light to check baking progress because opening the oven door allows heat to escape and the oven to cool.

Only open the oven door to check results when minimum cooking time has been reached.

Does the oven need to be calibrated?

The oven provides accurate temperatures; however, it may cook faster or slower than your previous oven.  The temperature calibration can be adjusted. It can be changed in Fahrenheit or Celsius.
