Grill Mode - Range

Using Grill Mode

Grill Mode (available on some models) allows you to use the oven to grill doors.

IMPORTANT: Close the door to ensure proper grilling temperature.

When using grill mode, preheat the oven accordingly. The cast iron griddle must be preheated together with the oven. Position the griddle centered on rack level 4, fitting its groove into the rack's tines to avoid its displacement during cooking. Position food on the griddle once the preheat is over. NOTE: Odors and smoke are normal the first few times the oven is used or if the oven is heavily soiled. Adjusting the setting level during grill mode allows more precise control when cooking. The lower the indoor grill setting is, the slower the cooking. Flip food during grilling for best results. Unevenly shaped pieces of meat, fish, and poultry, and/or different pieces thickness may give uneven cooking.

How to the Grill Mode

  1. Press Grill Mode.
  2. Follow the instructions on the display and then press CONFIRM/MENU.
  3. Press the arrow keys (<>) or a number keypad to enter the desired temperature.
  4. Press START. The preheat cycle will begin.
  5. Once prompted, add the food to the griddle. The griddle should be positioned at the center of the rack. For rack positioning, refer to the “Positioning Racks and Bakeware” section.
  6. The countdown will begin if cook time is entered; otherwise, the screen will show how long the in-door grill cycle is running.
  7.  Flip the food as per your preference. Press CANCEL when finished.
