Door Locked - Range
Possible Solutions
Cycle power to the control to reset the range
Much like a computer, resetting the dishwasher control can sometimes solve the issues you are experiencing. To reset the range, it must be disconnected from the power source for one minute. If your range is plugged into an outlet, unplug the unit for one minute and then plug the unit back in, or turn the breaker off at the home electrical panel for one minute and then turn the breaker back on.
Is the Oven being Cleaned?
- The oven will need to cool to approximately 200F(95C) before the oven door will open.
- If power was interrupted during a Self-Clean cycle, select the "Self Clean" option, then select "Cancel". Wait a couple of minutes, and then try to start the cycle again.
- If a self-clean cycle was accidentally started, press the Cancel/Off key.
- If the oven has a manual latch, Allow it to cool for approximately 30-90 minutes, then move the latch arm to the left to unlock the door. If the latch arm will not move after cooling to room temperature or is stuck between the full right and full left positions, schedule service.
If the door is locked when starting the oven:
Press the Cancel/Off key to start a latch reset, wait 20-30 seconds, and open the door, or turn the power off at the circuit breaker or fuse box for one minute, then turn the power back on.
