What is the grind size? 

• Check the grind size; the grind may be too fine.  Change the grind size to a coarser option. 
• There might be too much coffee. Try reducing the coffee dose by adjusting the "strength."

 Does the espresso machine need to be cleaned? 

Coffee may not dispense if the machine is clogged or has limescale build-up. Perform a descaling and brew unit cleaning cycle. If the volume dispensed is still incorrect, perform a deeper cleaning with a small amount of dish detergent and a soft sponge. Thoroughly rinse and dry.
