Does the Drip Tray need to be emptied?

The drip tray should be removed and emptied frequently.  The drip tray indicator will rise and become visible when the tray needs to be emptied. Water is purged into the drip tray when the machine is powered on and cycling between modes (espresso, steam, water) to ensure proper temperatures.

Was the water tank just removed?

Remove the tank slowly to prevent brief water release from the spring-loaded valve. Removing the water too quickly could cause a small amount of water to drip from the tank. 

Inspect the water tank

• Ensure the red transportation seal is removed from the base of the machine.
• Check for cracks or damage that could cause a leak.
