Unable to Make a Shot - Only Dispensing Water

Possible Solutions

Is the machine in a cleaning cycle? 

If water is coming out of the steam wand, group head, or water spout, the machine might be in a descaling cycle.  The clean/descale button will be illuminated. Allow the machine to finish the cycle.  Both phases of the cycling cycle need to be completed before the machine can return to normal operation. '
