Automated Cleaning Cycles

IMPORTANT: Unplug the appliance from the outlet before cleaning. Allow the appliance to cool completely before removing/adding parts and before cleaning the appliance. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads. They could scratch the surface. The Inner Lid is not dishwasher-safe.

The Grain and Rice Cooker has an automated cleaning mode:

1. Select the CLEAN option from the main menu.
2. Select the PRE-WASH POT function to start the cleaning cycle process. 
3. Add the directed amount of water to the pot to run a cleaning cycle. The cycle will take approximately 10 minutes. 

The PRE-WASH POT cycle uses a heated soak to loosen or remove residue from the sides of the bowl. Once the cycle has finished, drain the pot in the sink to continue cleaning in either the sink or dishwasher.

Additional information: 

• It is recommended to clean the Ceramic Pot, Inner Lid, and Steam Collector after every cycle.
• Dishwasher-safe: The Ceramic Pot, Inner Lid, Steam Collector, and Steam Basket are all dishwasher-safe.
• Hand wash only: Wash the Inner Lid with water and mild detergent or non-abrasive cleaner.
• The Ceramic Pot is dishwasher-safe, but hand washing in hot, soapy water is recommended to maximize the life of the non-stick coating.
