Before Using

  • Your Stand Mixer is individually adjusted at the factory for optimal performance.
  • When using the Glass Bowl, it may be necessary to re-adjust the beater-to-bowl clearance.
  • When correctly positioned, the handle and the pour spout should not touch the pedestal of the Stand Mixer.
  • Please refer to the Stand Mixer "Instructions" for complete information on adjusting the beater-to-bowl clearance.

NOTE: The "Dime Test" works for stainless bowls only, not glass or ceramic. Due to the nature of glass manufacturing, the clearance will be slightly different, and adjustments should be made without the dime until satisfied with the mixing performance. It may take somewhat longer for yeast dough ingredients to come together in a glass bowl.

Attaching the Glass Bowl to the Stand Mixer

  1. Be sure the speed control is OFF, and the Stand Mixer is unplugged.
  2. Place the bowl-lift lever in the down position.
  3. Fit bowl supports over the locating pins.
  4. Press down on the back of the Glass Bowl until the bowl pin snaps into the spring latch.
  5. Raise the Glass Bowl before mixing.

To Raise or Lower the Glass Bowl

  1. Rotate the lever to the straight-up position.
  2. The bowl must always be in a raised and locked position when mixing.

To Remove the Glass Bowl from Stand Mixer

  1. Be sure the speed control is OFF, and the Stand Mixer is unplugged.
  2. Place the bowl-lift lever in the down position.
  3. Remove the flat beater, wire whip, or dough hook.
  4. Grasp the bowl handle and lift straight up and off the locating pins.
