"Door Open Dry" - Door Not Opening - Dishwasher

Possible Solution

Was Door Open Dry selected?

Some models feature a Natural Dry technology that automatically opens the door at the end of the cycle to vent out moisture and humid air, accelerating the drying process. The "Door Open Dry" option opens the door a few inches after the washing phase is complete, improving drying performance by allowing hot air to escape and fresh air to circulate inside the dishwasher.

Press the "Door Open Dry" button on the console to enable the option, and the LED will illuminate.  This option can be used with all cycles.

Tips for using Air Dry

  • When using the Air Dry feature, try pairing it with the Extended Dry feature. The Extended Dry feature raises the temperature for the final rinse to improve dry performance.
  • It is also suggested that the dishwasher be run overnight; this will give the dishes extra time to air dry.

NOTE: This feature is not available on all models, and the name may vary depending on the dishwasher type. It can also be referenced as Auto Open Dry, Door Open Dry, Natural Dry, or Air Dry. Refer to your Quick Start Guide or Cycle Guide for additional information.

Was the cycle interrupted?

The door will only open after the wash cycle has completed.  If the cycle didn't complete due to a power outage or interruption, restart the cycle.
