E1 - Dishwasher

Possible Solution

Is the loop at the drain hose's end at least 20" (50.8 cm) above the subfloor or floor?

Your dishwasher could be siphoning. Make sure to connect drain hose to waste tee or disposer inlet above drain trap in house plumbing and 20" (50.8 cm) minimum above the floor.

Is the water supply valve turned off?

The water supply valve must be turned on for the dishwasher to fill.

Is the overfill protection float restricted?

Remove obstructions from the float area. Move the float up and down to see if it moves freely. The overfill protection float (in the front right corner of the dishwasher tub) keeps the dishwasher from overfilling. It must be in place for the dishwasher to operate.

Cycle power to the control to reset the dishwasher:

Much like a computer, resetting the dishwasher control can sometimes solve the issues you are experiencing. To reset the dishwasher control panel, it needs to be disconnected from the power source for one minute. If your dishwasher is plugged into an outlet, simply unplug the unit for one minute and then plug the unit back in. If the dishwasher is hard wired to the power supply, turn the breaker off at the home electrical panel that powers the dishwasher for one minute and then turn the breaker back on.
