Resetting the Dishwasher's Controls (Cycle Power)
How to Reset the Controls on a KitchenAid Dishwasher
Much like a computer, resetting your KitchenAid dishwasher's control panel can sometimes solve the issues you are experiencing.
To reset the dishwasher control panel:
- Disconnect from the power source for 30 seconds.
- After 30 seconds, reconnect the dishwasher to its power source.
If your dishwasher is plugged into an outlet, unplug it for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. If the dishwasher is hard-wired to the power supply, turn the breaker off at the home electrical panel that powers the dishwasher for 30 seconds and then turn the breaker back on.
Is the Control Lock On?
If your dishwasher appears to have no power, lights, or other functions, please verify that the Control Lock has not been activated. If the Control Lock is set, your control will not operate, and a red "Padlock" may be illuminated. Refer to the Owner's Manual for your dishwasher model to learn how to deactivate the Control Lock.
