How to Sharpen KitchenAid® Knives

Sharpening Cutlery 

To maintain maximum performance, knives should be sharpened periodically.

  1. Pull knives through the built-in diamond sharpener with slight downward pressure
  2. Repeat until desired sharpness is achieved.

Cleaning the Sharpener

  • The built-in sharpener can be cleaned with mild soap and water.
  • The sharpening wheel can be replaced if worn out.

NOTE: Knives with serrated edges must be professionally sharpened.
