Loud or Noisy - Trash Compactor
Possible Solutions
The compactor is driven by a steel chain and steel sprockets. Some noise during operation is normal.
Is the fan on (on some models)?
The fan will make a humming noise when on. The fan runs when the compactor is not in operation if the switch is set to on. Set the “Air Filter” switch to “OFF” to turn the fan off.
