Ice Cube Test - How much ice should my ice maker make?

Is the ice maker making the correct amount of ice?

To determine if the ice maker is making the correct amount of ice a cube count test can be performed.

Cube Count Test

  1. Completely empty the ice bin
  2. Wait 24 hours (do not use and/or dispense any ice during this time)
  3. Remove the ice bin and count the ice cubes

The typical amount of ice cubes varies by refrigerator type.  Locate your refrigerator type below.
