Using the KitchenAid Intelligent Auto Fill Dispenser

This refrigerator lets you set your cup down and have it filled correctly, hands-free. AI intelligently senses when your cup is within the dispenser, your glass is off-center, or can even detect when a hand pulls your cup away, ensuring a splash-proof, "set and forget" water-filling experience. This guide walks you through how to dispense a glass of water.

Adding Ice

If using ice, it is recommended to fill the glass with ice prior to the automatic fill. To dispense ice:

Select the type of ice (cubed or crushed)
Place the glass under the dispenser and press on the dispenser paddle.

Filling with Water

Place the glass in the center of the dispenser. If alerted, move the glass as shown in the images.
Once the glass is in the proper location, the dispenser will automatically start to dispense water. NOTE: Allow the water dispenser to fill for at least 2 seconds before removing the container.
Water will stop when the glass or container is 75% full or when the vessel is picked up at any time. Use the Pour/Stop button to continue filling if you prefer a fuller container.

Manually dispensing water

Hold or place the glass in the dispenser area.
With your free hand, press and hold the Pour/Stop button once to dispense water.
Release the Pour/Stop button to stop dispensing water.
