What to Do if the KitchenAid Water Filter is Damaged or Dripping?

If you are concerned the water filter may be damaged, there are a few steps you can take to ensure it is functioning correctly.

Is the water filter damaged?

  • Remove the filter and inspect it for cracks or damage.
  • Be sure the O-rings are still in place.
  • If the filter is cracked or damaged, replace the filter with a new one.

Is your filter marked with Whirlpool or EveryDropTM?

Filters with our Whirlpool or EveryDropTM are Certified Genuine Parts. Please note that the use of of a Certified Genuine filter is recommended for maximum refrigerator performance.
