Water Filter Door Staying Open - Refrigerator

Possible Solution

Is the filter damaged?

Remove the filter and inspect it for cracks, damage, and that the O-ring is installed.  If there is any damage replace the filter.

Is the filter installed correctly?

Depending on the water filter location, ensure the arrow is aligned with the arrow on the water filter housing.  If the water filter is inside the refrigerator compartment, the arrow should be pointing up; for water filters in the bottom grille, the arrow should point to the left. If the filter door will not close try removing the water and reinstalling it.

Are you using the correct filter?

Verify you are using the water filter designed for your refrigerator. Visit EveryDrop to locate and purchase the correct filter.

Is your filter marked with EveryDropTM?
