High Pitched Whistling Noise - Freestanding Ice Maker

Possible Solutions

Is the water supply turned fully on?

If the water supply is not fully opened, or turned all the way on it could cause a whooshing or high pitched noise.

Does the filter need to be changed?

The water filter status lights will help you know when to change your water filter.  Having a clogged filter can reduce the water pressure causing the Ice Maker to make a high pitched sound.

  • Order Filter status light will be illuminated when it is time to order a replacement filter.
  • Replace Filter status light will be illuminated when it is time to replace the filter.
