Possible Solutions

When should I clean the condenser coils?

Clean the condenser coils regularly. They are located behind the base grille. Coils may need to be cleaned as often as every other month, especially if the environment is particularly greasy or dusty or if there is significant pet traffic in the home. Cleaning the condenser coils may help save energy.

How to clean the condenser coils

  1. Remove the base grille. See the “Removing Base Grille” section of the Owner's Manual.
  2. Use a vacuum cleaner with an extended attachment to clean the condenser coils when they are dusty or dirty. They are located behind the base grille. Coils may need to be cleaned as often as every other month. This may help save energy.
  3. Replace the base grille.
  4. Plug in the refrigerator or reconnect the power.
