Not Working - Not Starting - Espresso Maker

Possible Solutions

Is there power to the unit?

  • Check if the Espresso Machine is securely plugged into a grounded 3 prong outlet.
  • Check to see if the Main Power On/Off Switch is turned on.
  • If you have a circuit breaker box, then make sure the circuit is closed.

Was the Espresso Maker just unboxed or stored for a long time?

If you can hear the pump working, but the water light is blinking, the pump may need to be primed.

To prime the water pump:

  • Unplug the Espresso Maker.
  • Remove the water tank from the base.
  • Add a few drops of water to the water intake area.
  • Plug in the Espresso Maker and reinsert the water tank.
  • This process may need to be repeated up to 5 times for the water pump to prime.

Is the Espresso Maker preheating?

After I make selections, the unit does not start when I press start/ play (no LEDs flashing)

If the espresso maker doesn't start when the "Start" button is pressed, the unit is probably preheating.  It may take up to 30 seconds for the unit to preheat; once it has finished preheating, press the "Start" button to start the cycle.  During the preheat time, the LEDs will not flash or be illuminated.
