Removing and Reattaching the Two Piece Chopper Lid
How to Remove and Install the KitchenAid Chopper Lid Assembly
Some food choppers have a two-piece lid with a black ring that removes for easy cleaning, reference the Owner's Manual or Quick Start Guide for additional information.
To Remove the Black Ring:
- Lift straight up on the black ring tab. Do not remove at an angle, as that can cause the plastic tabs to break. The components are dishwasher safe.
To Reattach the Black Lid Ring and Prevent the Small Tabs From Breaking:
- Align the two small tabs directly opposite the handle/pulse button.
- Firmly close and press the black ring down onto the clear handle/pulse button to engage the top and bottom lid components.
