Thermometer Not Found Message
"Device Not Found" Message - KitchenAid Smart Thermometer
Let's try a couple of troubleshooting steps that fix most issues.
- Ensure the battery is charged.
- Connect the USB cable to the Dock and the power source. When charging the Thermometer Probe in the Dock, make sure the top of the Thermometer Probe and the charging prong on the Dock are clean and in good contact with each other. You may want to try slightly bending the charging prong on the Dock to ensure contact. Charge for at least 5 minutes.
- Make sure Bluetooth on your device is turned on, and that the KitchenAid App can access Bluetooth in your phone's Settings.
Reset the Smart Thermometer and connection:
- In the KitchenAid App, click the Home button to access the list of your connected devices. Click the Smart Thermometer you want to reset, then tap the "..." menu icon on the right-hand side. A menu will open up at the bottom of the screen. Tap "Disconnect Thermometer".
- On your phone, go to Bluetooth settings and forget/delete "KAT" if possible. If not listed, proceed to the next step.
- Ensure the Thermometer Probe is in the Dock. Connect the USB cable to the Dock and the power source.
- Turn off your phone and restart.
- Try to reconnect the Smart Thermometer to the KitchenAid App by following the prompts in the app.
