Detergent Door will Not Close - Dishwasher

Possible Solutions

Is there too much detergent in the dispenser? 

If the dispenser is overfilled, the drawer may not shut properly. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for detergent use. 

Does the dispenser need to be cleaned? 

Detergent caked inside the dispenser may make it difficult to close the drawer. Remove the detergent and clean it with warm water and a soft cloth. 

Does the dishwasher need to be cleaned? 

Don’t just clean the dishes — take the time to ensure the dishwasher interior is clean, too. When it’s time to clean the dishwasher, remember the following cleaning tips for dishwashers.

Dishwashers should be cleaned approximately every 30 days for optimal performance. Does the dispenser door need to be replaced?
