How to Install the Water Supply Line
What type of water supply line should be used for my KitchenAid Ice Maker?
Ensure the water supply line is installed correctly, and the correct tubing is used. We recommend using copper tubing or KitchenAid supply line, Part Number 8212547RP. Using any other type of cold water supply line could cause odd or off-tasting ice.

Is the water supply turned fully on?
If the water supply is not fully opened or turned all the way on, it could cause low or no ice production. Not having the water supply completely open can also cause a "whooshing" noise to occur.
