Model and Serial Rating Plate Location
Locate the Model and Serial Tag for KitchenAid Warming Drawer
Whether registering your appliance, ordering replacement parts, or scheduling service, you will need the exact model and serial numbers from your KitchenAid warming drawer.
Unlike standard ovens, the rating plate is concealed inside the outer frame to maintain a clean exterior profile. You will need to remove the drawer from the cabinet to access it.
Where to Find the Rating Plate
- Exact Location: Mounted on the inner left-hand wall of the cabinet frame, directly above the left-hand receiving slide rail.
- Accessibility: You cannot see the rating plate just by pulling the drawer open. The drawer assembly needs to be removed from the cabinet slides to view the label.
Step-by-Step Guide: Accessing the Rating Plate
- Power off and cool: Ensure the warming drawer is turned OFF and the interior cavity is completely cool to the touch.
- Empty the drawer: Remove any pans, racks, or contents inside the drawer cavity to lighten the load.
- Pull drawer forward: Open the drawer until it extends to its fully extended stop position.
- Disengage the slide levers: Locate the plastic release levers on the metal drawer glide tracks on both sides. Depress or lift the release tabs (typically push down on one side and pull up on the other) while gently pulling the drawer box forward.
- Lift out the drawer: Lift the drawer box up and completely away from the cabinet slides, setting it safely on a soft surface or drop cloth to avoid scratching your floor or cabinetry.
- Read the plate: Look into the left side of the cabinet cavity. The silver/white rating plate is adhered directly above the left receiving glide. Note down the full Model Number (MOD) and Serial Number (SER).
