Drawer is Locked and Won't Open - Trash Compactor

Possible Solutions

Is the Solid Pack, Compressor PowerPack option ON (on some models)?

Solid Pack, Compress and PowerPack options run a half cycle, which locks the drawer, keeping the trash in a compressed state allowing further compaction.

To free the drawer on compactors with a Foot-Actuated Start button:

  1. Press the Foot-Actuated Start button to free the drawer.
  2. Open drawer and set Solid Pack or Compress switch to OFF to return the compactor to a normal cycle.

  1. Press the "Off/Unlocked" button to return the compactor to a normal cycle.
